For years if you had an ipod or iphone you.could use the same type of power connectors and put it on any docking station you wanted. Well that is all about to change. The next iPhone will have a smaller dock. The pin will go from 30 pins to 19 pins. Now the reason for this reduction is due to the headphone jack being moved to the bottom of the phone. Many speculated this reduction was due to the nature of the size of the 4g receiver and this could still be true. There has to be a reason the headphone jack is being moved down to the bottom which means there will be more room on the top. Now the most interesting part of all of this that there is a company in China that is already making cases for the new iphone and the jack is set at the bottom of the case and not the top and the company says that the space on this case is correct. The biggest question to.me is when will they unveil this phone? The launch is set for October and we haven’t even seen the phone yet. Makes me wonder if it will be ready for October with just about two months away really. So what are your thoughts on the phone changes?
