There’s a lot of speculation going on. Why are Apple leaders talking to car makers and automotive companies? Why are they keeping a close eye on Google? Is Apple building an electric car?
Computer technology mega corporation Apple wants to build a driver free electric car, according to a automotive source who is anonymous. Apple is learning about car parts and car production. But Apple doesn’t want to know about combustion engines or standard car manufacturing. This leads some to believe Apple doesn’t want to build a standard car; it wants to build an electric one. They’re also studying software operations to compliment self-driving vehicles. They’re studying high-definition mapping, car sharing, and electric car recharging. They’re looking for advice and education, but not partnerships when it comes to this new project. This has been Apple’s typical attitude when it comes to making their innovative products throughout the years. When an Apple executive from London was asked about these revelations, she refused to comment.
Keep in mind Google has been working on an electric car for years. And though no Apple personality is admitting it, yet, it seems like they’re putting together their own electric vehicle masterpiece. Apple and Google have been fierce competitors for years. And Apple doesn’t need an electric vehicle to add to their arsenal. They’ve got computers of every kind, iPods, iPads, and smartwatches. Why do they need to make electric cars? Is this a move simply to compete and run against Google?
