Steve jobs’ worst nightmare. Andriod software used by Google to create smartphones and tablets that resemble iPhone and iPad gaining market shares and hurting Apple’s margins. Jobs started a legal war to keep clones off the market. As of late however, this cases have become a stalemate. Apple has been unable to show that its sales have been seriously damaged by rivals, notably Samsung. Tim Cook was opposed to suing Samsung in the first place because Samsung is a critical supplier of components for the iPhone and iPad. Samsung has benefited from because of the insight it has gained from Apple. Apple and Samsung have lots of common interest.
