Anonymous defaced MIT’s Web site just hours after MIT pledged to investigate its role into the suicide death of Aaron Swartz. Swartz committed suicide on Friday. He was arrested in 2011 and accused of stealing over 4 million documents from MIT and Jstor. He faced $4 million in fines and 50 years in prison. Anonymous hacked two MIT websites shortly after MIT President L. Rafael Reif issued a statement promising to look into MIT’s involvement. Anonymous is calling for a reform of computer crime laws.
